I started writing my first book when I found myself at 19, a mom and married to a man that I did not love. He was in the military and very much older than I was, but the life of being a stay at home military spouse proved to be very lonely for me. During the course of my short-term marriage, I started having fantasies about living a more capricious life other than my own, and then began to write them down. My thought-provoking characters provided me with a temporary reprieve from my everyday soporific existence. Like me, Nena wasn't very happy in her marriage, and started to become attracted to someone else. Now, as a contented divorcee, I still remain good friends with my ex. Being a single mother of two lovely children, however, is quite interesting to say the least. There is a ten-year age gap between my daughter and my son; with my daughter being the oldest, but watching them interact with one another is simply priceless to say the least. Nonetheless, they are the *very air I breathe*
Writing has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was in the fifth grade. By the time I was twelve years old, I wrote my very first short story using my classmates as characters. The story was full of sex, lies and deceits among us teens & preteens, and every one of my classmates loved it! To my surprise, they kept begging me to write more, which I did for a while, but then had to focus on my studies instead. Therefore, life happened, and writing took a backseat, until I turned twenty-one; and then began writing Savory Deceits, which I had originally titled, "A Forbidden Love: The Sailor's Wife"
I changed the title when I completed the book five years later. Once again, life happened, so I sat on my book for another six years, and then finally released Savory Deceits in March 2016. Nearly three months later, I released Volume II of Savory Deceits: The Price of Deception. Between working full-time and raising my two kids, I spend almost all of my free time continuing with my Savory Deceits series. I love my characters and want to continue writing about their lives, until it's time for me to end it. Right now, I am currently working on Volume IIII of Savory Deceits: Intemperate Redemption, which I am projecting to release in the new year 2017. Writing is my passion and whether I see a penny from it or not, I will continue to write until my fingers fall off lol.
Other than writing, I enjoy watching Anime (Sailor Moon Crystal is my favorite right now), and reading Japanese Manga. I also love to exercise and meditate. Overall, I'm more of a homebody who enjoy being indoors, and hate the summer! That is ironic, being as though I am a July baby.
