Hello everyone! I hope that you all are having a wonderful holiday season! This post will be short and brief, because I am working on Savory Deceits: Intemperate Redemption (Volume IV) and it is gooooood! :-)

Anyhow, if any of you are a little squeamish about sexual assault or cannot handle reading about rape, then I must insert this WARNING to you all: Savory Deceits: The Price of Deception (Volume II) and Savory Deceits: Intemperate Redemption (Volume IV) talks about rape in great detail from the victim's standpoint. I write about the psychological and emotional effects taking place in the victim's mind during the rape itself, so please READERS BEWARE, it is intense. I apologize for the late warning concerning SD Volume II, so please forgive me. As you all may already know that my writing style is quite different from most authors, and I still receive letters or comments from my readers expressing their initial shock (lol), as well as their appreciation for my writing about certain things in great detail ;-) You guys don't hold anything back and I enjoy reading your letters! Thank you all for your love and support!

Sincerely,

Skye

I just spent most of the morning on YouTube watching Selena Gomez music videos, interviews, and that hilarious Carpool Karaoke show with James Corden. I think Selena is a beautiful girl with a beautiful soul. Listening to her "Kill Em With Kindness" song brought tears to my eyes. The lyrics are so profound and so inspiring that it makes me want to change who I am and be better than what I am. The late Michael Jackson said it best with his song, "Man In The Mirror." With all the changes that are happening in this world, especially with our new president Donald Trump, I believe that it is safe to say that we all need to Love more now, than ever before. Love really does conquer all things and it is the ONLY thing that can drive out Hate. Our lies really are the bullets and our mouths are the gun (Kill Em With Kindness lyrics), so let's speak life into one another. Let's focus on building up one another, rather than tearing each other down. I am not a die-hard fan of anyone, nor am I trying to use anybody's image for personal gain; the majority of the world doesn't even know I exist. I'm just a regular person who loves to write stories. However, if I had to choose someone that I would identify with, even though I do not know her personally, it would be Selena Gomez. We are living in a world where people feel that they are the judge, jury, and executioner. When did this world start being such a cold place, and stopped valuing life? I know that I have to be the change that I want to see in the world; so everyday that I wake up, I will ask myself, 'Who am I going to be today?' December is right around the corner, and pretty soon a brand New Year will come. I must say that I am excited over all the blessings that awaits me in the upcoming year. I choose to believe in miracles, in a higher power (God), and world peace. I also choose to believe that my dreams are not just a figment of my imagination, but a premonition of the future. Thank you to everyone who has read my books or have just sampled my work. It is not easy being a self-published author, raising two kids alone and holding down a full-time job. I don't always have time to write, because I'm usually so tired, but I make time because I love what I do. After reading about, and watching videos of major celebrities like Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, or even Beyonce, I realize that I am very fortunate that the world doesn't know who I am yet, nor do they care. I can enjoy my privacy; a luxury that our favorite stars probably wish they had, but do not. My heart goes out to the ones that have been victimized by the entertainment industry or those who's lives have been cut too short (aka Christina Grimmie: my heart broke when I read her story). Faith is something we all should hold on to, even when our darkest days are upon us. Though I am not very religious, I do remember reading a scripture in the Bible that said that we need to have Faith, Hope, and Love, but the greatest of these is Love. So, let's Love one another...
